A Home for Change

On the corner of South Central Ave and 29th Street, A Place Called Home is a pillar of support for youth and young adults. Established in 1993, APCH sought to provide a safe haven with multiple resources for youth in South Central during a time of increasing gang violence, crime, and danger. Our core values of REACH is the drive that continues our passion to provide for our community. With 30 years of growth, support from the community, and a desire to create change, A Place Called Home will contitue to cultivate and inspire the lives of our communities youth.

Our mission.

• Reduce involvement in gang activity or criminal behavior.
• Promote a desire to learn by keeping youth engaged in school. In addition, increasing graduation rates and the pursual of higher education and employment.
• Inspire members to take their skills to make positive influences in the community.
• Promote well rounded members that interact positively with family, peers, and others in the community.
